Aquatics Supervisor
Under supervisory direction, the Aquatics Supervisor assists with supervising and implementing a wide variety of customer service-oriented tasks in the Aquatic recreation programs as well as assisting in operations, safety, cleanliness and maintenance of the facility. The Aquatics Supervisor’s primary responsibility is supervision and direction of the aquatics staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise pool employees, training, and scheduling.
- Implement and manage high quality lessons, classes, and programs.
- Responsible for overall operations and customer service of aquatics center.
- Maintain pool and pool equipment.
- Scheduling Pool hour and aquatics activities.
- Maintain awareness in the field of aquatic of new developments.
- Promote a marketing plan for the ongoing development the Aquatics Center.
- Follow all applicable laws and best management practices.
- Conform to established program budget(s), monitor expenditures, and provide assistance for budget development and cost control activities.
- Perform other duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong customer service, listening and problem-solving skills
- Excellent supervisory/management skills
- Competency in management, administration, promotion and program development
- Ability to use computers and MS Office software including word processing and database software
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively with people
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations and to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet company needs, may include occasional nights and weekends
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration, Physical education or related degree, and three (3) years of experience in an Aquatics position or related, including lead or Supervisory experience; OR
High school diploma or equivalent and seven (7) years of experience in an Aquatics position or related, including lead or Supervisory experience
Required Certifications:
American Red Cross Lifeguarding (including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
Lifeguarding Instructor certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
Water Safety Instructor (WSI) within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
